Suzanne is a skilled facilitator with a lifelong love of the art process in general, and collage in particular. She has trained with Seena Frost and Catherine Anderson in the art of holding space for students with deep listening, curiosity, and creativity during SoulCollage® and Visual Journal activities. Suzanne has also trained as a peer facilitator with Susan Trout, founder of the Institute for the Advancement of Service. As a decades long yoga student, Suzanne has received teacher training at Evergreen Yoga in Bethesda, MD and Circle Yoga in Washington, DC. She received certification in Compassionate Bereavement Care from Dr. Joanne Cacciatore of the MISS Foundation and Karla Helbert.
Incorporating all of her skills, Suzanne offers guided centering, movement, and self-care practices for a nourishing inner journey in classes and workshops through an intuitive blend of her many years of study and practice in movement and arts modalities.
Engaging with these tools has led me to a lovely and nourishing inner journey that I would like to share with you!
The SoulCollage® process began in the late 1980’s, as part of a culminating project by Seena Frost (1932-2016). What began as a stack of index cards with an archetype and a Haiku soon became a growing and evolving collection of collaged cards that encompassed her family, friends, special places, beloved teachers, and honored pets.
From the SoulCollage® website:
“SoulCollage® is a creative and satisfying collage process. You make your own deck of cards – each collage card representing one aspect of your personality or Soul. Use the collage cards intuitively to answer life’s questions and participate in self-discovery. Joyfully deepen your understanding of the relationships between your personality parts, you and your family/community/world, and you and your dreams, symbols, and Spirit. The book, SoulCollage® Evolving (by Seena Frost), tells how to make and use the SoulCollage® cards individually and in groups.”
